It's Wednesday?

That's what I get for being less than chipper the past few days!

A friend and I were comparing NaNo stats, and he's ahead of me at the 4K mark. My last count has me at the 1600 mark. He thought I meant 16K! Sorry J...I have some serious catching up to do.

Another friend treated me to the play 'Lord of the Flies', put on by the National Players at our local college. I've not read the book or seen the movie, but sort of knew the basic plot. Now having seen the play, I want to read the book!

I went to a Veterans Program today where a WWII vet spoke. He was the most amazing man. It just left me in awe. And it was quite a reminder of what are soldiers do for us.
Good luck with the nano. Keep up the good work.

I forgot to mention; both grandfathers were in WW2; I had an uncle in Korea, and used to date a guy who'd been to Vietnam. Also have friends who have been in Desert Storm and in various branches of the military. FIL was mandatoried out at age 65, then found the National Guard Reserves until his death in 2000. My 'connection' to the current war is, I have a friend whose husband was in Afghanistan several years ago, and my kids have teachers who were also in Baghdad.
