Karaoke Update

There were three birthdays last night, so we had a good rotation for karaoke!  And surprise surprise...I sounded pretty good through the speakers, and was even applauded!

Bed of Roses-Jon Bon Jovi:  I loved this song when it first appeared, and even though it was a bit low in places, a bar patron came up to me and told me how much he enjoyed hearing me sing it:)  He then went on to tell me he was having issues with his girlfriend....I managed to work 'I'm married' into the conversation, then suggested communication pointers.  He thanked me for listening, then returned to his table.

Back in My Arms Again-Supremes:  I practiced this beforehand, and did a passable job:)  Was tripped up by a few lyrics/rhythmn, but I think with more practice, this song will be a good one for me.

Breakaway-Kelly Clarkson:  I nailed this one!  I'm thrilled to find a Kelly C one I can sing!  I'll try Behind These Hazel Eyes again, and maybe with practice I'll be able to sing it as well?

Breathe-Breaking Benjamin:  Two girls cheered and gave their thumbs up when they saw the title on the screen, but as much as I love this song, I just don't think it's a good 'fit' for me.  This is the only song I sang which did not garner applause.

The SU leaves for Indianapolis tonight:)  He has an early morning cardio appointment tomorrow, and will stay with his sister tonight.  After his appointment, he's heading up to Purdue to spend time with K before heading back home.  I'm picking up a rental car tonight; there are no full-size cars available, due to being Super Bowl weekend, so I'll be driving an economy car which will be enough for myself and two kids.

I might even be going to the other karaoke place tonight with BC Brown:)  She might not have to work tonight, and will let me know if she's available.  Haven't seen her at all the past month, so this will be nice:)
