August Reading Schedule
Fever-Robin Cook  This was another re-read, and while I probably enjoyed it the first time around, all the amateur sleuthing drove me nuts.  I understand it's a thriller, and this is one of Cook's earlier novels....and it reads like one.  Thank God he got better in later novels!
Creature-John Saul  This was a re-read, but still good:)  I'd forgotten probably 90% of the plot.
Lovey-Mary McCracken Wonderful story!  Shows what the 'right' teacher can do to a mis-labeled, misunderstood child:)  My heart broke at the end, for though she was more than experienced in the classroom, she didn't have all the credentials, so was demoted, due to 'state standards' in the early 1970s.  Really paved the way for Special Ed in schools.
Second Child-John Saul RR!!  Excellent read, even with the slight head-hopping.
Calico Joe-John Grisham DRR!  Really enjoyed this!
Love On The Brain- Ali Hazelwod DRR!  Loved, loved, LOVED this!  Now I want to read her 1st book!

E-book:
Hannukah Hearts-Jean Joachim DRR!  Sweet story:)
Riding The Storm Out-Desiree Holt  DRR!  Excellent story:)
Til Death Do Us Part-Rachel Rivers Good story; just felt incomplete.  Was this a sample??
Independence Day-Elle James RR!  Good story; the heroine gets a bit repetitious at times.  After a while, I wanted to smack her silly.
Her Trust-Silkie Companion Interesting; was expecting more plot.  Well-written!
The Spy Who Was Out Cold-Marilyn Barr Ended up skimming most of it; lost interest after a few chapters.
