Teenagers and Messages

Currently Reading: Just bought Prime Time by Vicki Burkholder, Crazy for the Cowboy and Always A Cowboy by Cindy Spencer Pape, A Grand Seduction by Lisa Logan, and ordered 3 Phyllis Campbell books from Amazon: Always My Love; Her Knights of Seduction; and Holding out for a Hero.

NaNo Word Count: 600 on Friday; 0 on Sat, and only 100 yesterday. I think my total's around the 4700 mark. Maybe I'll do better this week??

I found this note Saturday morning before we left.

"Grandpa said yes to Oprah on the 15th."

Whaaaat? My dad and Oprah? Okay; what have I missed? Are my parents going to be on an upcoming show of lasting marriages? Health problems? Did Oprah's people happen to acquire a copy of either of my two books and want to make it part of their Book Club?

Screech! Hold it, Molly! (Sound of brakes squealing)

No. This is a simple case of a teenager not knowing how to spell OPERA!

Dad and I are set to go to the opera next Saturday with his Japanese friend, who happens to have two extra tickets. And since I have accompanied this dear, sweet lady to last year's Bach Chorale, and she is also in talks to publish her fascinating life story, my presence has been requested.

Okay. I guess I don't need to grab my fashion-conscious best friend to help me shop for an outfit to make me look my best on TV just yet.

Heart rate has now returned to normal.

Hahaha, your dad and Oprah. Wish I could have seen the look on your face.
