From The Stupid Files: Y7, W30

Day 109:  Hot, mid-90s; 91 t/a
ASM:  Daniel
HC:  Austin
Loader:  Isaiah
1) No $1s after 4pm; was on #2 until 6:30
2) Was sent to lunch at 8:15.
Outfit:  Black Eclipse tee, faded cut off capris, eclipse danglies

Day 110: Hot, 90; 103 t/a
ASM:  Maria
HC:  Austin
Loaders:  DS Charlie, Jax
1) Car parked behind me at the Salvation Army; had to have a guy guide me out of my space so I wouldn't hit it.
2) Told him, "I just love people who park behind me."....and the lady who parked the car was right behind me.
3) Saw a couple with a baby; I was about to tickle its feet when the dad said, "Please don't touch him...daughter has a cold and we think he's catching it."  REALLY???  Like my germs are going to transfer up his feet to his immune system?  *eye roll*
4) Shorty (Melissa M) was in the house!  Every time she came over to my area, people descended on me.  Only got a hug.
5) Contractor said he makes 6 figures from his construction company (yay you!), but claims he won't buy a lot, due to a) Jax bouncing a ball and not offering to help while said contractor was loading four 4x4s and b) he was in the TH store, loading several boards and the MGR and two other associates walked on by and never said a word.  So he spends most of his money at Niehaus.
Outfit:  Red LU tee, long capris, small textured gold hoops

Day 111: Hot, low 90s; 83 t/a
ASM:  Alex
HC:  Austin
Loaders:  Jax, Isaiah
1) Tossed a Hershey's Kiss at a coworker, who promptly batted it to the floor. WTH??  "I'm not a chocolate eater."  Okay; you could have been a little NICER about it!  *eye roll*
2) Thought the printer was out of ink; tried it about 3 hours later and it worked.
3) Alex:  "You need accomidations filed with Sedgewick....but I don't care; I know you're hurting."
So I jumped up whenever I saw him come into my area.

I AM feeling better; I'm not needing the pain meds as much, and Tues, wiped down the soda machine. Tonight, cleaned EVERYTHING.
Outfit:  Blessed G'ma tee, faded cut off capris, small zircon hoops

Off to Mattoon tomorrow!

BB27: Week 9

 HOH:  The White Locust Resort!

Someone's going home....PLEASE let it be Rachel!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Tyler's back!!!!!!

Ava wins!!!!!!!!  BUT....she's NOT HOH.  She merely decides who gets to COMPETE for HOH.

Keanu volunteers, but Rachel drags Ava off, PISSING OFF AVA!

When it's time to pick, Lauren, Keanu, and Rachel volunteer to do it 1st.  Ava picks Vince:)

Vince survives in 6.5 mins!  Next up is Lauren.  STFU Rachel!!!

Lauren survives in 5.5 mins!  Next up is Morgan.

Morgan survies 4.5 mins.  Next up is Rachel.

RACHEL IS ELIMINATED!!!!!!!!  Whoot whoot!!!!!!

WTH was hanging off the back of her pants?

Ding dong the bitch is OUT!  You are NOT a legend, bitch.....suck it up and let someone else win.  You are NOT the queen.

Lauren completed the maze in the fastest time, so she's HOH!

OMG Keanu....grow a pair.  Rachel was NEVER going to beat you, if you two were in the final!  And she was NEVER going to take you to the end!

And puts up Morgan, Will, and Ash:)  (slightly racist; hope no one screams that card, since Lauren's white!)

Veto:  Lauren, Will, Ashley, Morgan, Vince, and Ava.

BB Comics!

Lauren:  13:03 2nd place

Ash:  20:32 3rd place

Morgan:  12:34  WINNER!

Veto Meeting:

Morgan takes herself off; Lauren puts up Keanu.

Morgan, did you forget half your shirt?

Ash, you're falling out of yours.....

Rachel talks to Julie:

*gag*  "None of these newbies listen to me!"

Now take your entitled ass back to the jury house.

BB Blockbuster: The Untangle Yourself challenge!

Typically, the smallest person wins this; Will is hopelessly still tangled; Ash gave Keanu a good run, but K just whipped himself around and won the thing.

Elimination: Ash or Will?  Please be Ash!!!!  I can't stand her....

DAMN IT!  Vince, you had ONE JOB.....evict Ash! Ava and Kelley vs Vince, Keanu, and Morgan.  Grrrrrrr.......

Will is evicted, 3-2.

Ava looks like a brown/red Holly Hobbie....

Morgan, wear something else under your sheer shirt....no one wants to see your black bra....

WHAT IS IT with these backless shirts this season???

1) Things were slower, so did my LU, SMART CS training, and the Credit training.

2) Customers 'expecting' carts to 'miraculously' go where they're supposed to?????

3) Discovered we're getting another raise....but those from now on are performance-based (SMART service, surveys, credit apps). I'm screwed, unless I go back to bribing for surveys again.....ugh.

4) Went in and spoke to Holly about our crappy insurance, and discovered how to contribute/take advantage of the LERF system. Short term disability is probably NOT the way to go.

Outfit:  Alaskan Hwy tee, faded cut off capris, large gold hoops

Bought a Halloween tee:)

Day 107:  LHS Homecoming Warm, mid 80s; 94 t/a

BB27: Week 8:

HOH:  Keanu wins, beating Kelley in the final question!

Vince, quit whining to K 'please don't put me up!'  Man up. Grow a pair already!

Rachel:  I don't backstab; I'm loyal; I don't lie.  BULLSH*T!

Yikes Ava....WTH are you wearing?

Keanu puts up Morgan, Vince, and Mickey

POV:

Mickey, put a tee over your yellow bikini top.....

Rachel's 'Feel the BB Burn'....oh give me a break!  Rolling your eyes at Keanu, and waiting for Lauren to answer a question.....*eye roll*

Keanu announces it's time to pick players and Ash is in the shower AGAIN???

Players:  Keanu, Vince, Mickey, Morgan, Lauren, and Kelley:)

Keanu drew his own name and picked Kelley, which aroused Rachel's suspicions....

Oh gag me.....'I brought you a muffin, because I'm so sweet....the sweetest girl here....' (Rachel)  *gag*

Girl, what is WITH those flower earrings?  How do they even attach to your ears?

*double gag* Angela is the host for this Paris-themed POV!  The Charcuterie Board Protection:)

*eye roll*  Ash, you went to LAW SCHOOL and you can't pronounce 'c'est' as 'SEST'!!!

Morgan wins!  She stacked all of her 35 pieces before they fell off:)

Rachel tries to bribe Keanu with lasagna, to keep Ash and Ava off the block; throws Lauren under the bus.

Whoa.....Keanu floats the idea of convincing Morgan to take VINCE off, by telling her Lauren would be the replacement nom, only putting up ASH instead???  But Morgan gets cold feet.

Rachel threatens K if he puts Ash up.  OMG K....PLEASE PUT RACHEL UP!!!!  GET HER OUT OF THERE!

Veto Meeting:  Morgan takes herself off; Keanu puts up Ash.  GAHHH!!!!  Where's your backbone you're always saying Vinny's lost his???

Ash, SHUT UP!

Mickey, I'm really curious about your hair......

Love it....'the two-headed dragon of Ash/Rachel'!

Rachel, SHUT UP!

Mickey, WTH are you wearing??

BB Blockbuster:  Vince wins!!!!

LOVE Mickey's strategy of putting the balls in her sweatshirt!  But she wasn't fast enough to catch Vince.

Elimination:  Mickey or Ash?  Oh PLEASE be Ashley!!!!

UGH....Ava, Rachel, couldn't you wear something NICER?  Oh wait....Ava's wardrobe is a throwback to the 60s or before.  But Rachel...you are NOT a fashionista!  That black leather jacket over the leapard print cami is just.....ugh.

Mickey is evicted 6-1.  Damn it......

BB Unlocked:  Ugh....they just skipped a week.  This week's Mystery Guest?

Ugh...Jesse is coming back?  *gag*

OH PLEASE LET IT BE RACHEL WHO DOESN'T CHECK OUT OF THE WHITE LOCUST RESORT!!!!!

BB Unlocked:  Actual Episode.

Derek, I'm on your side.....Ash needed to STFU.

Ashley acting dumb?  IS it an act?  Or is it REAL?  I mean, who doesn't know Clark Kent is Superman?  Polio was in the 40s??  Geez....

Scoreboard:  Chelsie still has Morgan, Lauren, and Vince

                      Derek:  Kelley and Keanu

Ava's family....I understand her a little better!

Mickey's in the house!  WTH are you wearing?  Cover up your boobs, girl!!

Being a Have-Not:

This is why I prefer to WATCH the show.  I couldn't handle it, and I'd go for a week w/o showering.

Plus, I'd go nuts w/o something to write on or with.

Taylor, #1, lost the sweatshirt, jacket, or whatever the hell you're wearing.

            #2, lose the heels.

#3, put some pants on!  No one wants to see your legs.  You are following in Rachel's footsteps, and neither of you are fashionistas.

Hot List:  Ava, Morgan, and Rachel

Not List:  Vince, Keanu, Kelley

OMG!  BEST PART OF EPISODE!!!  Tyler knocks down Derrick, Tay, and Lance with 'Bye Bye Bye'!!!

From The Stupid Files: Y7, W28

 103: Warm, low 80s; 77 t/a

ASM:  Maria

HC:  Austin

Loaders:  Jack, Conrad

1) Kaleb has quit, so had no loader until Conrad arrived at 4:30 (Jack arrived at 6).

2) Customer returned 73 pickets, 7 4x4s, and 5 2x4s, plus a lot of hardware items.

3) DS Ian went to lunch; 5 mins later, needed 2 o/r!  Fortunately, Shelly arrived.

4) Before going to break, something went down my throat as I was ringing up a customer....eyes watered, nose ran and was coughing! Finished the transaction, logged off, and blew my nose.

5) Took my pain meds after lunch, but it didn't kick in. Took off my shoe and walked around in a slipper and sock for an hour.

I might call in tomorrow; this pain is getting unbearable.

Outfit:  White USA tee, dark cut off capris, Yukon color danglies, brace.

Called off 9/2, due to too much pain in both calves

104:  Rare Sun Cool, low 70s; 93 t/a

ASM:  Alex

HC: Kaitlyn

Loaders:  Jax, Isaiah

1) I was cranky about an hour into my shift. We were busy; my back hurt; my foot hurt; whomever had closed Sat had used the wrong trash bag in the larger trash can, AND someone had made coffee.  The place was a mess.

2) I got irritated by people just leaving their damn carts in the walkway.

3) Jax pissed me off when he zoomed past me w/o grabbing my trash 1st.

Outfit:  Gray IN tee, faded jeggings, thin gold hoops.

BB27: Week 7

 HOH Comp:  The Wall!

Have-Nots:  Will, Ash, Morgan

Rachel, WTH are you using for eye shadow?  It looks ridiculous (red sparkly stuff) and makes you look like a clown!

POV:  Vince, Mickey, Ava, Kelley, Will, and Keanu.

Game:  Try to 'poison' each other.  Basically, call their bluff.

Ava's out first, followed by Will (who was trying to throw it!), Keanu (who wanted to win!), Kelley, and Vince.

Mickey wins!

Veto Meeting: Mickey takes herself off, and Vince is too scared to put Rachel on the block, so he puts up Katherine.

Vince, grow a pair, will you? You know you're going to piss off half the house either way, so why not take the opportunity to get Rachel OUT OF THE HOUSE???  She's acting like a damn bully, and you're kowtowing to her.  At this point, you've lost your 'man card', dude.  If someone else doesn't do it, you just handed her the win.  Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Wow, Mickey took her braids out!  Pretty:)

Rachel, are you on the rag?  "Just turn around Keanu, and leave me alone. You don't cook or clean."

BB Blockbuster:  Kelley wins!

Eviction:  Katherine is evicted 7-1.  The only vote she got was Lauren's.

Rachel, your hair do-dad is falling off the side of your head.

OMG....ANGELA (crazy b**ch) is coming back on Wed??? *gag*

What IS it with these backless tanks and dresses?  Kat, I like you, but you're showing back fat....

Rachel, grow up!  You're a mom....*eye roll*

WTH are you wearing, Ava?

Eviction:  Riley is evicted 5-4.  Who knew Vince would be the swing vote???  Shame on you!!!

3) I'd opened the large door for a large order, then kept it open for another customer; #1 decided to CLOSE it just as #2 was about to exit!

4) Customer gave me his phone # for tax exempt, but it didn't take off the tax. Then we were unable to refund the tax!

Zach: Eliminated 3rd; gets Partner In Crime and chooses Rachel as his PIC:) They end up having to 'steal' bags from a 'vault', and if they pick the wrong ones, they get hit with blue dye.

Will: Eliminated 1st; gets London Vacation

Katherine: Winner!  Takes Veto:)

POV Meeting:

Kat (WTH is she wearing, btw??) decides NOT to use it, even though she and Ava were talking about taking one of them down, and putting up Morgan, due to the fact she had a fight with Rachel AND was heard saying the 'showmance' needed to be broken up.

Zach did NOT use his BB Buyout power.

LOL....Vince said he really does NOT want to meet Julie dressed like an egg!

Mickey:  Acting like a dictator toward Ash.

Zach:  TOLD Morgan about his power, told her she was his #1 person....but Vince is HERS!  So?????

BB Blockbuster:  Keanu wins!

Eviction:

WTH are Mickey and Ash wearing?  M looks like she's wearing a bubble sack, and A looks as if she's wearing a flowey scarf! Rachel looks halfway decent, with her sparkly blue dress. Did Kat forget part of her green dress????

Even Julie's wearing a flowery blouse, faded denim capris, and 3 in silver heels???

Zach is evicted, 8-2

Amazing Race is featuring past BB players!!

From The Stupid Files: Y7, W25

Day 91: Hot, mid 90s; 75 t/a

ASM:  Alex

HC:  Austin

Loaders:  Kaleb, Jax

1) After I went to break at 5:15, Austin sent me to lunch at 6,

2)  *grinding my teeth* Alex asked me to clock in and out at the Pro desk, b/c 'it throws everything off'...nevermind the fact i was stopped by a customer at PLYWOOD!

Asked Keri about it; it was b/c 'we're short-staffed'. WE'RE ALWAYS SHORT-STAFFED!!!

In hindsight, I *should* have told Austin to go help the customer, instead of returning to him when I asked him to give me the price of the 5 black-striped plywood.  It was the one the customer was looking for.  Oops, I'm sorry; I felt it important that I tell him. Not, 'I'm sorry, I need to get back to my register.'  Talk about VOC....'I needed help, but she was too busy/in a hurry to help'.....*eye roll*

Outfit:  Gray Plank LU, dark cut off capris, thin gold hoops

Thank god I'm off the next two days.  I need to cool off.

Day 92: Hot, humid; 76 t/a

ASM:  Maria

HC:  Austin

Loaders:  Kaleb, Jax, Isaiah

1) 2 customers left their return carts by my register *eye roll*  What, they think they'll magically roll themselves back to where they belong, or out of the way?

2) Discovered whomever closed while I was off never gathered up the trash. Plus the floor was filthy.

3) Zach's birthday, so Kem had made a lemon cake.  Delicious; I ate 2 pieces:)

4) Spun the prize wheel and won the Shark board:)

Outfit:  Indian motorcycle tee, dark cut off capris, double heart danglies

Day 93:  Hot, mid 90s; 85 t/a

ASM:  Alex

HC:  Austin

Loaders:  Jax, Isaiah

1) Man wanted to return boards; I charged him instead!  Fortunately he returned and was able to straighten everything out.

2) Opened the large door for customer with 3 carts; they went through the side door instead. WTH???

3) Alex talked to me about the 'constant' paging....told him apparently I cannot judge time-lapse; thought I was doing it every 2-3 mins, not every 30 seconds!

4) Had a shadow from 8-close, Talon.  He's in conservation at the university, in his 1st year.  He wants to do cave rescues.

Outfit:  Star Wars tee, dark cut off capris, r/w/b stars

Day 94:  Rare Sat Hot, mid-90s; 58 t/a

ASM:  Alex

HC:  Austin

Loaders:  Kaleb, Isaiah

1) Kaleb threw a sack of concrete over his shoulder; it split, dusting him from head to toe in concrete!

2) I told Kaleb there were still cupcakes on the shelf; he asked, "Did you just call me 'Cupcake'??

NO, I did NOT!  LMAO!

Outfit:  Lt blue USA tee, dark cut off capris, thin gold hoops

Off tomorrow for Belle and Olivia's baptism!

BB27: Week 4

 HOH:  BB Killer Carnival:)

Kelley has to sit out.

Rd 1:  Zach, Morgan, and Keanu are up 1st.  Keanu wins!  Eliminates Will and Ashley, Morgan and Mickey

Rd 2:  Zach, Jimmy, and Riley win!  Everyone else is eliminated.

Rd 3:  Riley wins!!!

Mickey activates her HOH Interrogator Power!

OMG.....Rachel, just because Katherine made an OBSERVATION about Ashley's demeanor (smiling and giggling after being interrogated by Riley) does NOT make her a bully!!  LMAO....Rachel told Kat to 'sit down', even though she already was!

Riley thinks it Ash......but it's MICKEY!  Riley has been de-throned:)

Mickey Nominates Keanu, Kelley, and Riley

POV: Mickey, Kelley, Keanu, Rachel, and Morgan

Keanu vs Mickey:  Keanu wins!

Morgan vs Rachel:  Rachel wins!

Kelley vs Rylie:  Rylie wins!

Keanu vs Rylie:  Keanu wins!

Rachel vs Keanu:  Keanu wins.....and immediately insults Ava, the host.  WTH????

Keanu takes himself off; Mickey puts up Jimmy!

Advice:  Next week, back-door the guy???

BB Blockbuster:  Rylie wins!!!

Eviction:  Jimmy, 9-2!  (Ash and Rachel on the wrong side; Ash's 1st vote for Kelly stands.  No revotes allowed)

Jimmy hugs only Rachel and Ash, then walks out the door.

Might watch BB unlocked, just to hear what they have to say about Ash's indecision!

Mystery Guest:  1986 and Football.....Jim Kelly?  The Refrigerator?  Jerry O'Connell!

Who to goo? (worst fashion sense)  RACHEL!!!!!  Whoot!

From The Stupid Files: Y7, W24

Day 85: Cloudy; storms; low 80s; 67 t/a

ASM:  Maria

HC:  Austin

Loader:  Jack, Kaleb (called in)

1) Was late, due to signing granddaughter A up for classes at Clark MS, then giving Sara the 'grand tour', since she never got one last year.  Stopped by Hibachi on my way out and bought a shimmer dragon for $16!!!  Those go for $40 at cons!

2) Stormed; didn't have a lot of customers. And only 2 after I returned from lunch at 9.

Outfit:  USA Lab tee, long capris, large zirconians.

Day 86: Hot, low 80s; 101 t/a

ASM:  Maria

HC:  Austin

Loader:  Jax, Diana

1) Was disappointed that only Jax would be with me, but fortunately, no one needed him!  Diana showed up at 6:30.

2) Scanner #2 would only scan 1st item; wait 5 seconds then scan 2nd....and so on.  Weird....

3) Ran short of receipt paper

4) Did my Harassment training and had an eye-roll moment....now we're instructed to 'be respectful of other's pronouns'.  Until I'm told otherwise, it's him/her.

Outfit:  Purdue tee, long capris, treble clefs

Off tomorrow, to take Ned to Washington and Alex clothes shopping for 'unmentionables', ha ha....

Day 87: Hot, low 90s; 87 t/a

ASM:  Alex

HC:  Austin

Loaders:  DS Charlie, Miguel, Diana

1) Fairly slow night

2) Alex griped when I returned items to Millwork, but didn't put it away, so went back and did it.

Outfit:  Gray America tee, long capris, large thin gold hoops

Day 88: Hot, mid-90s; 98 t/a

ASM:  Maria

HC:  Raven

Loaders:  Jack, Diana, Kaleb (called in)

1) Accidentally charged customer's CC instead of his LCC; had to refund/rebill. Fortunately, it was one of my frequent-fliers!

2) Kem accidentally took my Zebra to the back; found hers at #2, so gave me that one!

3) Customer was in a hurry and RUDE! Lady, I can only go so fast as the computer lets me.

4) Came back from lunch; Diana was dealing with a lady with the wrong tools, so was on #2 for 30 minds until D from Tools came down and worked her magic:)

5) Was busy until 9:15; did manage to sweep, pull trash, and clean the coffee bar.

6) Final customer had 3 carts at closing.  If I see them again, I'm going to propose they join Pro, since they spend over $2K EVERY TIME!

7) Met Greg Swindle from JHS, class of 1985!  He didn't spend much time in the nurse's office, so didn't know my mom.

Outfit:  Yellow Fla tee, long capris, sea horses

Day 89:  Rare Sat Hot, mid-90s; 68 t/a

ASM:  Alex

HC:  Austin

Loaders:  Jax, Kaleb (he's had transportation issues)

1) No break; Austin covered my pit stop

2) Kept thinking it was Sun; we were very slow.

3) Helped a customer with fencing; had to pull out my rusty basic geometry and figure out how many posts he'd need.  Turned out I was 1-2 off; Alex asked why hadn't I called him? Thought he was busy running things....actually, thought I could figure it out!

Outfit:  Gray flower USA tee, long capris, thin gold hoops

Day 90:  Rare Sun Hot, mid-90s; 37 t/a (4:30-8)

ASM:  Alex

HC:  Kaitlyn

Loader: Jax, Jack

1) We were SLOW!

2) Five mins after I arrived, both Kait and Alex asked if I was all right.  Alex told me I looked 'frazzled....I'd tried something different with my hair and it went wild!

3) Alex scolded me for not staying 'in my bubble'....I asked if I was allowed to breathe in the bubble?  LMAO!

4) Had three customers close to close, with the final one at 8:06.

5) Had a woman who wanted a Pro account, so she could get the discounted shipping on a delivery.  Thinking we closed at 7, she hadn't brought her cell phone (it was 6:30), then was relieved to find out we closed at 8! Managed to get her signed up, and everything went well. Jack took over on the register while I was getting her signed up.

Outfit:  Blue flowered blouse, long capris, silver crosses

BB 27: Week 3

HOH:  Lauren Wins!!!!!

Oh boo hoo Rachel....."I used to be so good at these comps....if I don't win, then who am I?"  Get over yourself....it's been HOW many years since you've played?  And had two kids?  *eye roll*

And Mickey's freaking out? Girl, calm yourself and wait until you actually have a conversation with her!

She nominates Keanu, Kelly, and Will.

POV:

LMAO.....I honestly thought Ash was going to be in the shower when they picked players!

Vince, Ashley, Lauren, Will, Keanu, and Kelley:)

Comp:  Timed one.  Ash made it through, but triggered the alarm a couple of times; Will is hopeless; Vince doesn't want to win, and dawdles several times, but will it be enough.

3rd Place:  Vince, 10:01

2nd Place: Lauren, 7:22

WINNER: Keany, 6:54  He takes himself off; Lauren puts up Adrian, since everyone tells her if she puts up Ash, more people will be upset.

Screening Bad Guys 2:  Rachel, Jimmy, and Ava.  Geez, Rachel....did you get a clue you were going to be invited, wearing your green evening gown???

BB Blockbuster:  Kelley:)

Eviction:

Adrian is evicted, 8-4

BB 27 Week 2

HOH Comp: Search through the sewers; In the dark comp!

Ava's afraid of the dark, so she sits down.  WTH???

HOH:  Jimmy

Power #1: Keanu Mystery Competitor power:) Tells Kelly

Power #2: Mickey HOH Dethrone power; tells Morgan

Power #3: Kelley Mystery Veto Power; tells Jimmy

Noms:

Kelly, Adrian, and Keanu

POV:  Dressed up as potted plants:)

Keanu invokes his power, and Jimmy pulls AVA's name out of the box.

Mystery competitor:  Comp Beast Kaycee!

Kelly out 1st, followed by Ava.  Jimmy and Keanu false-started.

Kaycee vs Adrian: Kaycee wins!  Keanu is safe!

OMG.....Keanu tells Rachel he watched her highlight reel, and the fact two houseguests yelled at her.  Rachel leaves in a huff, and tells K 'fine, go to war with me' when he tries to explain.  K, either you're really dumb and didn't realize what you were saying, or Rachel, you're too sensitive.  I'm not sure what's the case here.

Veto Meeting:  Keanu takes himself off; Jimmy puts up Amy.  Kelly activates her power and WINS!  Takes herself off the block; Jimmy puts up Will.

OMG Ava...why are you still wearing that stupid flower pot outfit?

BB Blockbuster:  Will, Amy, Adrian

Gag....Taylor's back for an announcement?  Gag.....

OMG Rachel.....that sheer outfit, your 'funeral' outfit....I can't even.....and then to threaten Zach and Morgan???  Yes, I like Amy, but by all means, piss Rachel off and send Amy home!

Adrian wins!!!!!  Will vs Amy:

Eviction:

Amy is evicted, 13-0  She did NOT reveal her accomplice status, so maybe at some point she gets to return????

BB Unlocked:  Not being a fan of Taylor, I seriously doubt I'll watch.

Yeah, I'm bored.  Bleh. But apparently it's connected to BB, so I can skim through it.

BB27.....O. M.G.....

I honestly wasn't going to blog about this season's BB, but holy hell, Rachel's back.

First, a brief recap of Ep 1.

16 enter; 8 compete to find Julie, and Zach does it, winning $10K.

Next, the others compete to find the HOH relic, and Jimmy wins it, earning the right to pick four contestants to play in the HOH contest. He decides to play and after interviewing everyone, picks Ashley (the only female who said she'd do it), Vince (who still lives with Mommy and has no job), and Adrian.

Vince wins, not surprisingly, since he juggles.

Then they revealed another houseguest was returning.  I was hoping it WOULD NOT BE Rachel or Jesse, the two most annoying houseguests in history (I forgot about Taylor, but here's hoping we never see her again either!).

Back to the show.

After Rachel arrives, the Mastermind announces he has an accomplice in the house, and it's NOT Rachel. If the others can guess who helped him cut the lights and stole the HOH relic, that person will be immediately ejected from the game.

Come on, PLEASE let it be Rachel!!!!!  I can't stand her!!!!

Watch it be Vince.....

Now everyone thinks its either Rylie (cowboy hat) or Zae (sun-kissed California guy).

Verdict:  Not!

Holy Sh*t....it's AMY, whom I suspected after Rylie was revealed not to be it.

What tipped me off?  I remembered SHE LOOKED BACK at the portrait, which was the secret door.

Have-Nots:  Rachel, Will, Zach, and Ava

Nominations:

Before the nom ceremony, Ashley did something incredibly selfish, taking a 90 min shower in the HOH room, mildly pissing Vince off.  It even pissed the others off

As people were discussing with Vince whom to put up, Amy for whatever reason, broke out in TEARS at the thought of Ash going up.  WTH???

So what does Vince do?  Puts up Ash, Amy, and Zae, since he wasn't proven to be the accomplice.

Amy better win the battle back and take herself off the block.

POV:

Vince, Amy, Ash, Rachel, Zae, and Zach

(after Ash takes another shower!)

Camp side Caper:  Ashley wins! Takes herself off. Vince puts up Kelley.

Jimmy blows up at Keanu?  WTH????

Kelley, your mouth is about to get you in trouble...

Zae, really?  Actively going after Rachel?  Admirable, but waaaaay too early!

Blockbuster:  Kelley wins!!!

Eviction:  Zae, 9-5!!!

Imaginarium Wrap Up

I love the annual Imaginarium Conference for a variety of reasons.  This was year 12 (9th for me!), and it felt......off.

1) Friday.  I arrived late, due to my own stupid decision to pack last minute.  That's fine; I beat the rush earlier in the day.  But, there was a snafu.

-My packet was not in the VENDOR packet, even though I had paid the early bird fee for a table back in September (I checked!), so getting my table was delayed, since the check-in person didn't have the password to the computer, and they had to locate Cassandra and Holly to clear it up.  Fortunately, no one had claimed my 'preferred spot', so they quickly swapped out the tables, since the vendor assigned hadn't checked in yet.  Fine and dandy; I set up maybe 30-45 mins after I'd arrived.

-It was close enough to check-in time, so I decided to go ahead and get my room.  Yay, I'm back on the 3rd floor, though not handicapped accessible as I thought. No problem; I got my key and I can grab onto the sink to raise/lower myself to the toilet.  Problem solved; I moved my luggage in, redid my hair, and went back down. Checked my emails; I have one from Cap 1 saying I was over my limit, but they approved my $511 charge for the room!  WTH...I made SURE there was $460 in there, to cover it!  Oh well, maybe there's an extra fee....it's okay, I can still pay this off in time for Sept....I hope!

-I only sold one book, but again, I was only at my table for maybe 2 hours.  The minute I arrived, I was grabbed by nearly all my friends for hugs, and I did go into the vendor hall to see Carol Preflatish, Brian, Cookie, Tommy Smith, and the Hydra table.

-Brian, TL Shively, Matt Shorr, and I decided to go to dinner at The Melting Pot.  Now granted, it's been 20+ years since I'd been there, and since I wasn't the paying customer at the time, I don't remember the prices.  But sticker shock hit my eyes.  I thought maybe we would just forgo the cheese and chocolate courses and pay $35 for the entree.  But no, we'll split the $116 payment between two people each, making it *only* $56 per person.  Fine; I can adjust my food budget, and maybe sales will be good, and I won't be in the hole.  But again, things had changed.  I remember unlimited veggies; nope, we only got three plates per table, so once the cheese and entree courses were over, I was still hungry. Chocolate course, Matt and I discovered he didn't care for the pound cake, while I didn't care for the marshmallows or the bananas, so he ate most of what I didn't like, and I ate what he didn't want.  Then, since there was some of the others' items left, I volunteered to eat what was left, and it solved my hunger issue.  Then, surprise, surprise....when we got our bills, it's standard operating procedure for all parties over 6 to be billed a 20% gratuity, which split between the 6 of us, was an additional $12.  I ended up paying nearly $80.  Food budget is officially blown.  But maybe sales will make it up....I'll skip breakfast and only eat my planned Subway sandwich.

-I went down for the entertainment, after fixing myself a cocktail in the room (vodka and kool aid), which last year's dancing I really hadn't cared for, so waited until 9:30. Fortunately, there was no Burlesque this year, and I joined my friend Mysti Parker for an enjoyable final dance, which was pirate-themed:)  Then Jayson William Allen took the stage with his guitar player and drummer, and we had a GREAT time!  3 times, his g/f Stephanie joined him to harmonize, and at one point, Jayson leapt onto the chairs in front of us.  I whispered to Mysti, "Should we act like hysterical fans and pretend to rip off his pants?"  LMAO!

2) Saturday. My panel was at 9am on Plot Holes, so after grabbing my PWT flyer, a copy of HLC, and my cards, I joined Marilyn Barr and several others for a lively discussion on how they happen, how to resolve them, or are they simply mistakes?  Afterward, NO ONE came up to talk to us or grab cards.

-Attendance seemed to be down, and I only saw maybe less than 10 cosplayers. During the times of no traffic, I went to the vendor hall and took pictures and found a few books I'm interested in buying....but first, I need sales to recoup my loss from Friday night's meal.

-I WAS given two free books; I went to get a picture of Jayson at his table and he told me to take anything I wanted.  So I got Steph's book, and she was thrilled when I asked her later to sign it! Likewise, Troy Maynard, the Viking Hugger, handed me HIS hook, and signed it later.

-I wanted Jen Selinsky's Genesis book, but with only $10 in sales, I couldn't justify it. Fortunately later, I sold a copy of Catered Romance to a gentleman for his wife, so I was able to buy it.

-Brian, TL, and I were meeting Brian and Robyn Rodman at Momma Bear's BBQ, and leaving at 6, so I packed up early to go refresh myself before dinner. Once there, we had a 30 min wait (no problem....the Rodmans had an errand first). But said errand took longer than expected, so after waiting nearly an hour, we got the go-ahead to order. Had a wonderful meal (chicken caesar salad, as per my food budget), and managed to buy a copy of Brian's Memoir of an Angel and Nebulizer 2, of which I used the $40 cash earmarked for my son, whenever he gets off his butt and takes care of a friend's yard!  I get paid Friday; I can replace the $25.

-I again fixed myself a cocktail (vodka and koolaid) and went downstairs for the karaoke party. Saw the end of the cosplay contest and the winners, then turned in my list for karaoke.  Ended up starting things off, but this time people cheered!  An hour later, Holly had arrived, and the DJ put me in for Simply The Best, which I dedicated to Holly and Stephen, and again people cheered me on:)  Unfortunately, didn't get to do Independance Day or Univited, but that's okay.  On the way back to my room, I ran into Aubrey, Anton, and Baryn, who were headed up to a party in Morgan and Sako's room.  I said I was tired and would see them tomorrow.

-Changed into my PJs, then realized I'd left my water at my table, so went down to get it. After returning to my room, I decided to go to the party for a bit, and enjoyed myself. Had a Fairy Shot (hollowed out strawberry, amorretto, and Reddi-Whip), and a few meatballs. Then, Anton decided to make a comment at Dwan which I didn't care for, so I excused myself and went back to the room.

3) Sunday, my panel wasn't until 3:15, and I had signed up for Tea Dueling at 2. I made it downstairs at 9:45 and noticed traffic was REALLY down. Some vendors left as early as 1. The Tea Dueling was AMAZING!  You face off in rounds, and choose your tea (Spicy, Chamomile, or Dr, Who), then your cookie.  You hold the cookie half an inch from the bottom, then dunk it into your tea for 5 seconds, then HOLD it up.  The person who gets their cookie into their mouths LAST wins.  I faced off with Aubrey, and was so focused on making her laugh, I forgot to watch my cookie.  It splatted into my tea, and she won the round.  Oops!  But she was taken out by Wayne (at my table!) in the next round!  Wayne ended up winning the thing, so yay us!

-I went to my panel at 3:15 and had another wonderful discussion about writing historical fiction, with 4 people in attendance.  Again, NO ONE came up to get cards.

-I did pop into Carma's panel, just to say hi, and got a bracelet:)

-When I came back around 4:15, nearly everyone had already packed up and left, including TL, Matt, and Cookie.  Lynn left me a note; Brian PM'd me.  Aubrey asked me if I was going to the Troll Bridge, and since I was, asked if I could carpool with her. We made plans to meet around 6. I packed up at 5:30 and moved my van closer to the door, saying goodbye to friends.  Went up to the room to refresh myself, then went back downstairs to wait for Aubrey.

-We arrived at the Troll Bridge in one piece, thanks to Baryn and I directing. Walked two blocks and only had to pay $7 parking:)  Aubrey nearly had a Marilyn Monroe issue with her skirt, ha ha!  Arrived to discover Holly had WAAAAAY underestimated the amount of people attending, but there was a four-top about to leave, so we waited, instead of commandeering the table outside the main room, where everyone else was.  Ro, a musician I met a few years ago, arrived, and she sat with us.  We dubbed ourselves the Corner Crew, and had a great time!  I ordered a Shroomburger (delicious!), but had issues with the server remembering to get my iced tea!  After the 3rd reminder, Aubrey went to bar to get it (hence his $2 tip). I transfered another $20 out of my savings, for just in case, since I had a $25 check still out, and only $47 in my account at that time. (it still hasn't hit, so whew!)

-Took Baryn to his apartment so he could get his swim trunks, then made it back to the hotel safely.  Parted ways, and I went upstairs, took a shower, played Solitaire, and went to bed.  I'd forgotten how to turn on the shower, and the phone in my room didn't work, so had to go back downstairs and ask.  As I was drying off, I noticed the instructions BESIDE THE SHOWER!  If I'd looked UP, I would have seen it.  But again, it was 10pm, and I was TIRED!

4) Checked out of the hotel around 10, and ran into Carma again. Had a good chat while she was checking out, and had another nice chat with someone I'd only seen briefly. Found out about the $20 daily charge, which does get refunded, and my final charge was only $460.  Whew!  Cap 1 will be happy:)   Took myself to Chipotle for lunch, and the nice kid working the cash register didn't charge me for the extra chicken, since I only get rice, cheese, and sour cream.  Thank you!  See you again next year:)

-Drove home and only encountered a slight slow down at Tell City, as we all merged into one lane for about a mile.

-Arrived home in time for my writer's group, so went there 1st, then dealt with the grumpy spousal unit.  Thank god I didn't have to work yesterday!  Wanted to go to Food Truck night, but it was hot; I was out of $$; he was griping about having to replace the starter in the truck.  Okay, we'll stay in.

Sigh.....maybe another Monday night Food Truck night will arrive where I'm off work???

From The Stupid Files: Y7, W21

Day 74:  Hot, high 90s; 58 t/a
ASM:  Alex
HC: Austin
Loader:  Kaleb

1) Found out I'm up to 7 absences, and I get 2 more.  I need to find out where my others went; I thought I was at 4 or 5!

2) Matt asked us to fill out a survey:
-What are my career goals?
-What do I expect from them?
-What can they do to improve?
     a) I expect to retire in 15 years
     b) I expect to be given the time off I need to promote my work and to take care of my mom.  I do NOT call out frivolously; I only do it in a dire emergency.
     c)  I would like to train the closers in Lumber; I would like 2 lumber associates scheduled; I would like 25-30 hours per week; I would like 2 head cashiers per shift; I would like faster response times to Code 99s.

3) Was 90 mins late to work, due to not leaving Lafayette until 12:30, and had to run by home, since I didn't want my laptop overheating, or my deodorant to melt.

Outfit:  Gold tee, faded capris (unrolled),  Forgot earrings.....

Day 75:  Sunny, storms, low 90s; 72 t/a
ASM:  Daniel
HC:  Austin
Loader:  Joey

1) Matt was thrilled with my typewritten survey (see above), and told me that yes, there will be 2 lumber associates in the evening.  Also, the store was supposed to get remodeled last year, but was pushed back.  It's coming....

2) Customer had 5 full carts, which took me half an hour to ring up.  Loader Joe hopped on #2 in order to bust the line!

3) Customer wanted to save $$, so I signed him up for a CC. But the verification went to his email, which he doesn't have on his phone, so called his wife. When he finally got a hold of her, I sent two more codes, and we got him approved.  THEN, in order to use the shopping pass, it went to his email (head desk), so I had him text the info. His phone refused to cooperate, so after the 3rd attempt, I called ASM Dan. We ended up just doing the 20% and scanning the o/r.  Customer went on his way.

4) Joe and a customer pushed in a heavy cart of lumber for return as I was going to lunch. I looked at him and asked if he was okay, which he replied he didn't know. I told him to sit down for a few.  When I returned an hour later, he had gone to lunch.....but by 9pm hadn't returned.  Praying he's okay!

5) Kaitlyn Stevenson agreed to take my Friday shift!  Holly still hadn't fixed it, and I didn't want to burn a point.

Outfit:  Black Alaskan Hway tee, long capris, tiny silver hoops

Day 76: Rain, mid-80s; 76 t/a
ASM: Daniel
HC: Austin
Loaders: Kaleb, Jax

1) Heavy rain around 4; lasted until after 5. We offered our umbrella to anyone needing to go to their car!

2) Kaleb was drenched after being caught in the 1st wave.

3) Kaleb went home at 8:30, due to being drenched AGAIN while helping a customer load his order!

4) Customer made 5 trips in to fix his leaky water pipes.  Hope the last trip did the trick!

Outfit:  Dark gray IN tee, long capris, thin gold hoops.

From The Stupid Files: Y7, W20

 Day 73: Sunny, high 80s; 100 t/a

ASM:  Alex

HC:  Austin

Loader: Jax

1) Elderly man who only wears overalls with no underwear and no shirt was in. Fortunately, he smelled better this time!

2) Loader Fred complained about Jax not bringing in carts.  I pissed off Jax by calling him up, then sending him out. Later, he retaliated by shoving a cart at me, which nearly hit me. I stopped it with my foot and nearly fell over.

Outfit:  White Valspar tee, faded capris, blue sapphire hoops

Ended up calling in, due to my mom being sent to the hospital with sepsis and possible stroke. Will update soon.

Ended up spending the rest of the week with her.
